Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Inc.
June 2019
Dear Neighbor,
In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s the delivery of emergency medical services transitioned from local funeral homes to other entities such as volunteer fire departments and the birth of many volunteer ambulances services across the nation. In Pulaski, a group of individuals gathered to discuss the possibility of forming a volunteer ambulance service to serve Northern Oswego County. In 1974 Northern Oswego was born and completely formed of many dedicated volunteers who devoted countless hours through the years laying the foundation and structure of emergency medical services from past to present. We are grateful to our past volunteers, current volunteers and certainly welcome new volunteers into our NOCA family.
Now in existence for 45 years, we continue to strive to expand the programs and offerings to the communities we serve. NOCA is composed of a very diverse group of individuals that responds to approximately 2,100 emergency medical calls throughout the Northern Oswego County.
Though the faces of our members and staff have changed, our core mission has always been to provide the most current treatments and transportation of our ill and injured patients to area hospitals while utilizing state of the art technology. In order to meet our mission and provide the services in our communities, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of the community-minded individuals like you, we would not be able to serve those in our community as effectively each year.
In the ever changing field of emergency medicine, our EMT’s are required to constantly participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs, to keep their knowledge base current and associated skills that are needed to provide most effective care for the citizen’s we serve. With that being said, we are asking for your financial assistance to help us to continue to best serve you utilizing the most up to date equipment and technology.
We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal by making a monetary tax deductible donation. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue to provide the highest quality service to our patients.
We have enclosed a donor envelope for your convenience or you can make a donation by visiting our website www.noca-ems.com and making a pledge by using your credit card or PayPal. Please remember that every donation makes a difference, regardless of its size.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Sincerely,
NOCA Board of Directors
